I am Marsella Jimeno-Peralta, FNP-C, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, doctor by training, and founder of AVIV by Marsella. My vocation for medicine was not born from a trend or a wellness fad; it was born from real contact with people, deep stories, and bodies that asked to be understood, not just treated.
I graduated as a General Physician in the Dominican Republic in 2005 and practiced for more than 8 years in primary care. During that stage, I understood something essential: Educating is also a form of healing. After moving to Florida, I prioritized my role as a wife and mother while continuing my professional journey, eventually certifying as a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
While working in cardiology, I noticed a clear pattern: many chronic conditions were rooted in metabolic and hormonal imbalances. This led me to certify in Weight Management (GLP-1 therapies), Female Hormones, and Longevity Medicine.
My faith also plays a central role. AVIV is not a coincidence; it is a way to serve and help women “be reborn” in a stage of life often lived in silence.
